Do I have to go to court?

If you accept that you are liable for the charge set out in the summons you do not need to go to court. We will apply for a liability order, which means that we have the powers to take action to recover any money due in the future if your account is not kept up to date.

Although you do not need to attend court, you will be charged a further £35 once a liability order has been granted. This will be added to your council tax balance for the year.
