This course shows delegates how to complete their export documents, when to use them, what procedures they have to follow and importantly why they are required.

Delegates will learn all about the important documents used in international transactions.

Learning Outcomes

The learner will:

1 - Be able to understand how to produce the necessary documentation for an international shipment.

1.1 - Prepare a price build-up for an export quotation identifying the types of possible costs to be included.

1.2 - Identify the appropriate documents from the 3 categories of documents required to expedite the shipment.

1.3 - Describe any additional special requirements or documentation for particular markets/sectors e.g. Middle East, Hazardous Goods, Textiles etc.

1.4 - Explain what are Incoterms and what they define and give examples of the appropriate Incoterm to be used for the different modes of transport.

2 - Be able to identify where to go for sources of international information and assistance.

2.1 - Identify regulatory bodies and their roles and other organisations where assistance can be sought

3 - Be able to identify modes of transport

3.1 - Explain the advantages and disadvantages of the different modes of transport
