Specific programmes to help you improve environmental performance or grow your green products and services

The  Low Carbon Business Evolution Programme provides free energy audits and support for SMEs across Staffordshire and grant funding of between £2,000-£20,000 to implement identified solutions. 

The  Staffordshire Business & Environment network raises business awareness through seminars and environmental training as well as practical advice on developing and implementing environmental policies as well as providing examples of good practice such as guidance  Electric Vehicles

The  Good Life Energy Team offers free and impartial advice to businesses to review your existing energy charges and find the best tariffs to suit your business needs (includes gas, electricity, water, oil & LPG, including resolution of disputes and review of any levy charges). The scheme is managed by South Staffordshire Council but is open to all businesses throughout the country and has helped firms save 70% on renewal offers. Freephone 03333 058 671.

The National Farmer Union provides  Energy Advice for Farmers to help find best energy deals, technical advice on renewables and efficiency guidance. They also have a buying group with discounts for members. Contact info@nfu.co.uk

The  Clean Air Day Campaign has produced a range of free resources for workplaces and community groups relevant to improving air quality. 

The  Workplace charging scheme provides funding for businesses to purchase and install new workplace charging stations to allow companies to move towards electric fleets or support workforce with electric vehicles.

Echo Stars is a commercial vehicle support service to help reduce fuel consumption by developing bespoke operational efficiency, fuel management, driver skills development and ideas to improve operational efficiency and reduce emissions. It also provides recognition for best practice and star ratings for individual vehicles and the fleet as a whole covering all operators of HGVs, buses, coaches, vans and taxis in the Moorlands. The Council now offers a Business waste and recycling service covering glass, plastic, cartons, food tints, aerosols, paper and cardboard. This is a pay-for service with a range of container sizes on offer.
