Information on street trading and renewing or applying for a new licence or consent.

What is street trading?

If you want to sell or offer for sale any item in a street then you must have a street trading licence or street trading consent.

Street trading is regulated under Schedule 4 of theLocal Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982

Where can I trade?

We are the responsible authority for granting street trading consent in Staffordshire Moorlands and will ensure that traders operate in accordance with conditions attached to such consents.

We have identified an area contained within Derby Street, Leek for street trading in consultation with the Police and other consultees.
