Staffordshire County Council Covid 19 Emergency Business Grants

This grant fund is targeted at small, micro and one person businesses that are not eligible for the grants and rate relief packages offered by the government. A total of £500,000 is available, with the maximum grant being £1,000.

Businesses will need to demonstrate why they need the grant and what difficulties they are facing during the Covid-19 lockdown period.

Who is eligible for the emergency grant?

The scheme is open to local micro-businesses who:

  • have their business registered in Staffordshire,
  • employ less than 9 people,
  • turn over less than £2m a year
  • and are unable to claim any other local or national business support.

They will also need to own a business bank account so we can transfer funds.

How do businesses apply?

Businesses can apply by calling one of Growth Hub Business Advisors on 0300 111 8002

Business Advisors will go through a series of questions to assess eligibility. If they do not qualify, we will point them in the direction of other schemes and initiatives that they can apply for.

If businesses are eligible for the grant, our Business Advisors will process applications and they should receive the funds within 14 days.
