It's an exciting time to join the Regeneration Team and work with colleagues in the Markets Service . We are looking for a Markets Officer to join the team and take our markets service to the next level. The markets are central to the success of our town centres. We are currently investing £3.4m into the Leek Victorian Market Halls and have recently bought Cheadle Market. The Markets Officer will lead on recruitment of traders and managing / curating an annual market events calendar, including specialist markets and some evening events.
The ideal candidate will have experience in venue management with the ability to develop and promote markets and events that will attract a wide range of customers. We are looking for a competent and confident communicator who is able to build and manage effective relationships with traders, local businesses and partners. Someone who is commercially minded and has a 'can do' attitude is equally important.
As a member of the Regeneration Team, you will play a key part in revitalising town centres and the economic success of the District.
