In the swing as Halls Road play area re-opens
Young people and their families can enjoy fun and challenging play times again thanks to the re-launch of the play area at Halls Road in Biddulph following refurbishment.
Contemporary, challenging and accessible play equipment for children of all ages and abilities and new safety surfacing have been installed at the recreation grounds thanks to a £90,000 renewal project funded by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.
Councillor Brian Johnson, cabinet member with responsibility for leisure, sport and parks, said: "This play area is a popular attraction in Biddulph so I'm delighted that we have been able to refurbish it and install new, more contemporary, play equipment for children to enjoy.
"I was pleased to join my colleagues in a visit the new facilities, which look great, and having tried some of the equipment first-hand I think I can say with some confidence that the families and young people who visit the play area will have fun here for years to come!"
The Council appointed HAGS/SMP to carry out the work which took around four weeks to complete and saw the play area re-open to the public last month.
