Cheadle sets out stall for new weekly outdoor market
Plans for a new weekly outdoor market in Cheadle have been unveiled by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.
The Council wants to establish a market every Friday at Greyhound Walk in the town - and is now on the lookout for traders.
Councillor Edwin Wain, Cabinet Member for Development, said: "Markets are colourful, vibrant events that bring people to a town to enjoy retail and leisure time and we're keen to bring those benefits to Cheadle by establishing a new weekly outdoor event.
"We're at the start of this process and are now looking for traders and entrepreneurs who want to join us in this exciting new venture. If you're interested, please don't hesitate to get in touch!"
Anyone interested in taking part in the new, trial market selling food and drink, crafts and homeware is asked to email clare.brookes@staffsmoorlands.gov.uk for more details.
Cheadle Town Council also runs indoor markets throughout the year.
