New Moorlands business property search service launched
Finding new commercial premises in the Staffordshire Moorlands is now much easier thanks to a new online search service being launched by the District Council.
The new service allows local firms and would-be entrepreneurs to:
- find out about all of the sites and existing properties that are currently being marketed in a single, up-to-date listing
- receive alerts when new premises come onto the market
- find the relevant agent or owner to arrange viewings
Council Leader Councillor Sybil Ralphs, who also has responsibility for regeneration, said: "This online resource is a great addition to the support services we provide for businesses and is in response to feedback from them that it is sometimes difficult to find out just what is on the market.
"Bringing the information together like this will make the search for suitable accommodation so much easier for businesses and start-ups - and it will also minimise the time that shops or industrial units might remain empty so its good news all round."
Any agents or owners of commercial sites looking to sell or let their properties can get a free listing which has the added advantage of linking to the inward investment service 'Make it Stoke and Staffordshire' as well as other online property platforms.
This new search service does not replace the valuable support that agents provide in marketing individual sites but it does allows customers to see what's available and find agents more quickly. It's also another channel where agents can list their sites and premises.
The regeneration team at the Council continues to be able to offer ongoing support to businesses who might need assistance to find suitable space to expand or locate within the Moorlands. Contact them at regeneration@staffsmoorlands.gov.uk or call on 01538 395400 if you think they could help you.
