Report a change of address

Use the 'Move in' form below if:

• You are moving into the Staffordshire Moorlands Area and need to register to pay Council Tax.
• If you have purchased or rented a property and this is the first time that you will be liable to pay Council Tax.
• If you have purchased or inherited a property that you will not be living in, use this form to advise us.
• If you are a Landlord or Letting Agent informing us that a tenant has moved in or out of a property, please click here to provide the information.

If you are a Single Person and someone is moving in with you, please complete the Single Person Discount Application form instead.

When you complete this form you have the option to open a 'My Council Tax' account which enables you to view your Council Tax bills online, change your method of payment and request copy bills. 

If this is a service that you would like, when asked 'Would you like to be set up for electronic billing', if you answer yes, then this will automatically be done for you.  If you answer 'no' to that question, you will continue to receive paper bills and will not have access to view information online.

Move Out / Within Staffordshire Moorlands Area

If you have a 'My Council Tax' account, please login to your account and complete the change of address form.

If you don't have a 'My Council Tax, you will  need to complete the form below.

• If you are moving out of an address in the Staffordshire Moorlands Area.
• You can use this form if you are advising us you are moving within the area.
• If you have sold a property that you do not live in
• If you are a Landlord or Letting Agent informing us that a tenant has moved in or out of a property, please click here to provide the information.

Please do not complete this form if it is more than 7 days in advance of your move. Please return to our website and complete the form nearer to the time. If you have already moved, you can complete the form immediately - thank you.

If you are advising us that a person has moved permanently to a Nursing Home/Hospital, please complete the 'Change of circumstances form', instead of this form.

Please note - you can't complete this form unless you know the name of the person you have sold the property to or if it was rented , you must provide the Landlord or Letting Agents details.
