Join David Hunt and Friends at the Nicholson this summer
Published on 8 July 2020
The daring use of light, colour, texture and form by a group of award-winning artists adds an exciting dimension to this summer's exhibition at Leek's Nicholson Museum and Art Gallery.
'David Hunt and Friends' features inspiring artworks and photographs by Staffordshire artists David Hunt, Jonathan Walker, John Broadhurst, Anita Hill and Chris Hunt.
Councillor Sybil Ralphs, Leader of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and portfolio holder for arts and culture, visited the exhibition and met some of the exhibiting artists.
She said: "Visiting the Nicholson Museum and Art Gallery is always a joy but especially so when the creative work on display is by award-winning local artists.
"David's work, inspired by his reactions to the changing moods of the rugged landscapes we are privileged to enjoy here in the Moorlands, will have a particular resonance with local visitors but there is much pleasure to be gained from all of the pieces on display by all of the artists.
"It's on throughout the summer and I would encourage everyone visiting Leek to call in and spend a little time admiring the works on show."
The free exhibition runs until 7 September and the Nicholson is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
