Leek Bus Station toilets to close for refurbishment

Published on 18 February 2020

The public toilets at Leek Bus Station will close next week whilst work to fully refurbish the facilities takes place.

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council is investing around £90,000 in the project.

Work will start on Monday 24 February and the toilets will be closed for the duration of the works. Members of the public are advised to use the Silk Street facilities, which include an accessible toilet, in the meantime.

Councillor Edwin Wain, Cabinet Member for Planning, Development and Property, said: "We know that people have been keen to see these facilities at the bus station refurbished so I am pleased that we are now at the stage where work is set to start.

"It does mean that the toilets will be closed whilst the work is carried out and I'd like to thank people in advance for their patience whilst this investment in the town's amenities is carried out."
