Climate Change Emergency Declaration

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council declared a Climate Emergency on July 10th 2019.

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council recognised the serious threat posed by climate change and the responsibility that institutions, businesses and communities have in reducing carbon emissions and preparing for any impactive change. The Council declared a climate emergency on July 10th 2019, making a commitment to:

'Start working with partners, across the district and region, towards making the Staffordshire Moorlands carbon neutral by 2030; taking into account emissions from both production and consumption'.
