Larger or smaller bins
This year's bin prices can found on our fees and charges page . There is no charge if you qualify for a larger blue-lidded bin on medical grounds.
Blue lidded bin for general waste (max 1 per household)
- Our standard size blue-lidded bin holds 180 litres
- Larger families, households with 2 or more children in nappies and residents with a medical condition that may produce more household waste could qualify for a larger (240 litre) blue lidded rubbish bin. There is no charge if you qualify for a larger bin on medical grounds
Grey bin for recycling (max 1 per household)
- Our small grey bin holds 140 litres and might be more suitable for smaller households or those with limited outdoor storage space
- The standard-sized grey bin holds 240 litres
- We are currently awaiting stock of 360 grey recycling bins, if you would like to be notified when this size recycling bin is back in stock please complete our Contact Bins & Recycling form and our business support team will advise as soon as stock is available.
Brown bin for food and garden waste (max 4 per household)
- Our small brown bin holds 140 litres and might be more suitable for smaller households or those with limited outdoor storage space
- The standard-sized brown bin holds 240 litres
- We do no not supply large 360 litre brown bins due to weight limits
- You can buy compostable sacks to use at times you have too much garden waste to fit into your brown bin, or you can buy an additional brown bin
