Staffordshire Moorlands Rural Business Development Grant

Open for a limited period to 10th November 2024, capital grants for small scale investment in micro and small enterprises in eligible rural areas.

Due to the timescales involved, all applications submitted must be for capital equipment only that can be purchased by 31 January 2025. We are unable to consider any equipment which requires any form of planning permission, unless already approved. Applications in this round can only be accepted from registered businesses / enterprises who are actively trading.

All applications for this final round of the Rural Business Development funding need to be submitted before midnight on 10th November 2024.

Funding may be used for projects looking to: undertake innovation, adopt new technologies, improve carbon footprint, diversify into new markets, develop and promote the visitor economy, develop local tourist attractions and/or enhance local visitor experiences. We would expect projects to deliver outcomes such as job creation, increased turnover/growth, improved productivity and the adoption of new to firm technologies or processes.

Please note: Farm based business applications can only be used to support diversification projects outside of agriculture (for example, creating/expanding rural leisure and tourism facilities) and cannot be used to fund any farm machinery or to diversify within agriculture.
