Street cleaning

What are we responsible for?

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for keeping adopted highways and pavements clean and free from litter.

Street cleaning and sweeping is carried on a rolling schedule, generally urban areas are swept more frequently than rural areas.

We also remove needles or drug waste and dead animals from public land.

Please report litter in parks or play areas to our Parks team.

A spillage or obstacle in the road causing a danger to traffic should be reported to the highways team at Staffordshire County Council.

Sewage on the road should be reported to the relevant utility company.
